Qualification:

University of Arizona –Bachelors Elementary Education

Hello! My name is Silvana Rojas. I am from Tucson, Arizona, and I am thrilled to be teaching at Cornel this year! I

I attended the University of Arizona and graduated in 2017 with a degree in Elementary Education. For the past five years, I have been teaching at the same school where I completed my student teaching. During this time, I have had the opportunity to teach both 1st and 2nd grade, as well as serve as the Language Development teacher.

I strongly believe that education is the key to success. As a teacher, I see it as my responsibility to instill in my students the belief in themselves to pursue their dreams. I want my students to leave my classroom knowing that learning can be enjoyable. I strive to create a fun and inclusive learning environment with high expectations for both behavior and academic achievement. Building strong relationships with my students is crucial to me, as I believe it is the foundation for providing them with the support they need to succeed. Additionally, I firmly believe that every student possesses the inherent ability to learn and thrive. It is our duty as educators to equip them with the necessary tools, resources, and encouragement to unlock their potential.

Reading is one of my passions, and I enjoy indulging in books of all genres. I also find relaxation in practicing yoga and pilates, often accompanied by leisurely walks with my dog. I am eagerly looking forward to the opportunity to travel around Taiwan and immerse myself in its rich culture.
