Week 1:2024.07.01~07.05
At Cornel International School, we are dedicated to providing our students with diverse and challenging learning experiences. During the first week, we organized a series of creative and exploratory activities designed to engage our students, spark their creativity, and nurture their curiosity.
Our Maker-themed activities had students protecting fragile eggs from breaking, building the tallest marshmallow towers, creating powerful catapults, and constructing models inspired by the London Bridge. These hands-on projects not only taught basic principles of physics and engineering but also fostered teamwork and problem-solving skills.
In English classes, students explored the concept of buoyancy and its effects on objects. Through fun group activities and games, they deepened their understanding of scientific principles. Additionally, students crafted self-paddled boats and aluminum foil boats, conducting density experiments to see how different materials float or sink. These activities allowed them to learn science through practical, hands-on experiences.
These engaging activities not only made learning fun but also ignited students’ interest in science and engineering. In the coming weeks, we will continue to provide more exciting learning opportunities, helping every child’s dream set sail at Cornel International School!
