Hello! My name is Dana Noffke and I am so excited to be joining the Cornel family in the following year! I am from Ottawa, Canada where I was born and raised! In 2018, I completed my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario and in 2020 completed my Bachelor of Education at the University of Ottawa.
As a teacher, I am eager to create an atmosphere that encourages learning experiences to be engaging, hands on, collaborative, and unique! As an educator, I believe it is important to create a strong classroom community where all my students feel valued and all their voices heard. It is within this community that I believe that the student and teacher sign on to a partnership, where together, they create rewarding learning experiences to support their growing success. It is my promise in this partnership, to create a safe and engaging classroom environment where the needs of all my students are met. Each student is unique and enters the classroom with diverse strengths and needs, and my classroom will provide my students with differentiated learning experiences to support their growing success! Further, I will support all my students in developing a growth mindset to promote higher levels of thinking. Developing a strong and respectful relationship with my students, their families, and my colleagues is important to me and I am excited to share my passion for learning! I am eager to sign on to this partnership with all of you, where I will provide you with continuous support both inside and outside the classroom.
I am absolutely thrilled to be moving to Taiwan! I love exploring, going on adventures and will be spending most of my free time travelling and learning more about the history of Taiwan. I look forward to exploring the island, trying new food, and involving myself in the community. As I have lived in a rural area of Ottawa my whole life, I am excited to visit the different National Parks to learn more about the distinct landscape and wildlife. During my spare time you will most likely find me out on a hike or indulging in a good book!
