-CORNEL-
The school is named Cornel for the reason that our principle, Bih-Hua Chen took classes in Cornell University in the past, and her husband, Professor Shi-Tung Yeh received his Doctoral Degree from Cornell University as well.
We deleted the letter “l” to identify the spelling. The word “CORNEL” has a unique significance, which represents a kind of Cherry Blossom.
Cornel is named after a kind of plant because we believe students are like seeds that need to be carefully nurtured and watered until they grow into full blossom, and we expect students’ achievements to flourish like cherry blossoms.
Love: We love and treat every student like our own child.
Patience: We teach with patience and indefatigable zeal.
Sincerity: We treat every staff member, student and parent with all sincerity.
Confidence: We believe that every student can learn English to the best of their ability.
Carefulness: We do everything carefully and discreetly.
The school emblem is in the form of five heart shapes, and each heart represents an educational value.
There are small hearts inside the big hearts which represent our student-teacher relationships.
We trust and understand each other, just like all families do.
