Cornel International School: Grade 4 Debate Highlights

At Cornel International School, we empower students to express themselves confidently and think critically. Last week, our Grade 4 Debate captivated audiences with thought-provoking topics and impressive arguments, showcasing the eloquence and preparation of our young debaters.

Debate Topics:
1. Should students have more homework or no homework?
2. Should students have more outside play or no outside play?
3. Should students be using computers or not?

Each topic was passionately debated by affirmative and negative teams, with every team presenting:
1. A powerful opening statement
2. A strategic rebuttal
3. A compelling closing statement

What sets our debates apart is the dedication of our students, who crafted their supporting ideas with clear arguments and factual evidence. Through teamwork and preparation, they demonstrated not only excellent communication skills but also a deep understanding of the topics.

Why Cornel?
Our debate activities cultivate critical thinking, public speaking, and the ability to build evidence-based arguments. It’s another way we help students become confident global citizens, ready to express themselves in any arena.
