Week 4:2024.07.22~08.02
Week 4 Highlights:
Our fourth week of activities was filled with the joys of science and engineering. Despite the approach of Typhoon Gaemi, the students’ enthusiasm for learning remained undiminished as they eagerly participated in various activities.
In science class, students learned the art of creating plant specimens using the printing method, resulting in beautiful plant prints. They conducted the “Cliffhanger” experiment to explore the static friction of water bottles, and made paper dragonflies and air cannons, experiencing the practical applications of scientific principles.
In English class, we delved into different types of bridges, understanding the effects of tension, compression, torsion, and structural design. The children transformed into little architects, constructing bridges in groups. They competed in two categories: the strongest bridge and the longest bridge. The best young engineers emerged victorious in the competition.
This week’s activities allowed students to learn through hands-on experiences, sparking their interest in science and engineering. A big thank you to all the students and teachers involved and a HUGE thank you to the parents for supporting us. We look forward to more exciting learning adventures in the future!
